Northern Virginia Summer School Earning credit for school over the summer in Northern Virginia is now easier than ever.  This summer GLC is guiding students through fully accredited, pre-approved Fairfax county courses. Now, both enrolling and getting through summer classes is as convenient and stress-free as possible. How It Works in Northern Virginia To enroll in the class, students simply register with FCPS Online.  Since all of these courses are pre-approved, they automatically earn full credit, and their grade is automatically calculated into their GPA GLC provides instruction by walking students step-by-step through each lesson during class periods. We also provide personalized tutoring for trouble areas during study lounges.  Our classes are geared to get students fully prepared for the SOL at the end of the course. All instruction will take place at GLC, and students will also complete assignments and quizzes at our center.  Students are also required to attend three meetings at a Fairfax County location: introductory meeting, midterm, and final. Getting Credit All Fairfax county students are eligible to enroll in any FCPS Online course, just like regular summer school.  For non Fairfax County students, pre-approval from the school is typically required to ensure transfer of credit. Any students attending private schools must contact us before enrolling in summer courses.   Charlottesville Summer School Georgetown Learning Center's summer school in Charlottesville is convenient, flexible, and enjoyable for any student. Upon approval from Albemarle County, all students are eligible to enroll in University of Nebraska online courses through GLC. The courses are taught by GLC's expert and energetic tutors, with small class sizes and flexible scheduling.
