Guiding the Application Process
As exciting as applying to college can be, for many teens
it is also one of the most hectic periods of their high
school careers. Applications, essays, interviews, and
recommendations add to not only the workload but also
the stress that students must endure. At Georgetown Learning
Centers, we've created a program to make the entire process
both manageable and enjoyable for students and their parents.
Our College Admissions Seminar guides high school students
through every step of the admissions process and ensures
winning applications without the stress.
Expert Help
Our
top-notch instructors remember both what it takes to put together
a successful application and how hard it can seem. We lead students
through a number of different exercises that make the process
more understandable and acceptance more attainable. Students
are also provided with
materials essential to the process as a whole: a timeline and
checklist for organization, worksheets to help with essay-writing
and narrowing college choice, as well as articles and information
on a handful of topics -from how to obtain strong recommendations
to financial aid and surviving the waitlist.
Applications that Stand Out
What's more, the
course includes three essay workshops and guided rewrites in
addition to a formal mock interview conducted by a member of
our staff. The result: our students manage the entire admissions
process while producing ordered and attractive applications
in a fun, stress-free environment. We have designed the program
to make college applications an enjoyable time for students,
while alleviating the stress that students feel when it comes
to getting into college.
